A holocron is an item that can be placed on cards in the game, Card Commander. They can be used to make the cards you want appear in your hand or deck (depending on the type of holocron) during any game in any mode. Only six holocrons can be applied at once. Holocrons can easily be purchased from the in-game store, but can also rarely be obtained through bonus items in Card Commander Booster Packs. So far there are two series of holocrons.
A holocron's effect depends on its color and shape. Pyramid shaped holocrons are arguably less valuable, ensuring that a selected card will appear in your deck during a match, while Cube shaped holocrons ensure that a selcted card will appear in your hand at the beginning of a match. Dodecahedron holocrons will ensure that a card appears in one of your four base slots during a match. The color of a holocron determines the number of "charges" it has or how many times it can be used. Blue, red, and green holocrons will only work on certain colored cards while gold and silver holocrons are compatiple with all cards.

- Red Pyramid - ensures that a red card will appear in your deck for 5 games
- Blue Pyramid - ensures that a blue card will appear in your deck for 5 games
- Green Pyramid - ensures that a green card will appear in your deck for 5 games
- Red Cube - ensures that a red card will appear in your hand for 5 games
- Blue Cube - ensures that a blue card will appear in your hand for 5 games
- Green Cube - ensures that a blue card will appear in your hand for 5 games
Series 1 Holocrons[]
- Silver Pyramid - ensures that a card will appear in your deck for 15 games
- Gold Pyramid - ensures that a card will appear in your deck for 35 games
- Silver Cube - ensures that a card will appear in your hand for 10 games
- Gold Cube - ensures that a card will appear in your hand for 25 games
Series 2 Holocrons[]
- Silver Dodecahedron - ensures that a card will appear as a base for 15 games
- Gold Dodecahedron - ensures that a card will appear as a base for 35 games
- Descriptions state that holocrons are available as prizes in Card Commander Tournaments, however this has never been done.
